If only when the dealer
gets a 6 is that we have real chances of winning in the long
term, then what can we do? Actually, nothing. Request a
letter when we 17 can result in further losses, thereby
presenting perhaps the lesser of two evils.
Obviously we can win occasionally Having planted with 17,
but more likely to spread throughout the time we end up
losing more than we win but when we face a 6 by the dealer.
Stand with 17 will definitely not guarantee anything. Since
17 in
blackjack strategies is not considered a good hand to the
players, never we must stand with combinations of 17 and an
ace and a six.
If for example we take a hand in which we have planted 17 in
a 6-deck game in which the dealer should be planted at 17,
surely we are happy with our situation. And the only thing
left to say is wish him luck in the casino.
Assuming we get 18 and we considered. Surely we feel better
than Having planted with 17. Clearly, 18 is better than 17,
but perhaps not so much the better as it is generated we
tend to think. We earn money with a 18 in the long run when
the dealer shows a letter that is between 2 and 8, but if
the dealer's card is a 9, 10 or ace, surely lose.
